You can't really compare the two things since they are very different. Saying Jp is better than TLW:JP makes more sense.

JP was his best book he wrote, best sci-fi book probably.

That's exactly why I was CONTRASTING them. And it's my opinion anyway. if it bothers you than please just ignore it. Wink

Micheal Crichton was lucky to have a dinosaur named after him.

Really?!  Surprised
Dinonut

Yes. The dinosaur was named Crichtonsaurus, and it was an armored plant-eating dinosaur related to Ankylosaurus. Here is an article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crichtonsaurus
Immortal_Soul

That's cool. It would be even better if I had a dinosaur named after me one day! Razz
The Dark Knight

That'll be the day! But anyway yeah I heard about the Crichtonsaurus a while ago I am surprised you haven't heard of it, but then again you think  Anaconda is good and you compare NOT contrast (you didn't contrast a thing and he did co-write JP the movie so you dissed him there) to different forms of entertainment mediums.

Actually, I'm sure I've heard of Crichtonsaurus before, but I specialize mainly in theropod dinosaurs, so most other suborders aren't dead set in my head, if you know what I mean. Ceratopsians, hadrosaurs, sauropods, ankylosaurs, and stegosaurs just aren't my specialty. I mean I know perfectly what dinosaurs such as Triceratops and Euoplocephalus are, but it's not like I study them as much as I do theropod dinosaurs.

And anyway I have no clue where you're going with the anaconda thing (quite random if you ask me), but I was contrasting the Jurassic Park novel from the film. I wasn't comparing their goodness, rather I was contrasting them by saying one was better than the other, which is a very simply contrast. One is good and one is bad, but it's still a contrast.

So, with that said, and no need to start an argument, I can see this thread is getting off-topic. Everybody say their last goodbyes, as I'll be locking this thread shortly.

*locked* (screw the time waste, lol)
